A NEW Bierkeller bar where people can eat, drink and play games has officially opened its doors.
Bar staff at Klubhaus by the Bierkeller have poured their first pints at the newly-renovated former Rosse pub building on Bingley Road, Saltaire.
The long-standing pub has been part of the area’s nightlife scene since 1870.
Speaking ahead of the bar’s first night of opening, openings manager Brendan Manley said: "We’re beyond excited to welcome everyone to Klubhaus by The Bierkeller tonight for our grand opening.
"With 12 draught taps pouring and cocktails slinging, it’s going to be an unforgettable evening.
"We can’t wait to celebrate with the community and kick off this new chapter in style.”
Klubhaus Saltaire will bring Bierkeller’s well-known rooms - The Bierkeller Hall, The Bierkeller Lodge, and Shooters Rack ‘n’ Roll games and sports bar - into one space.
There will be two private karaoke rooms, regular live music, sporting events, as well as bar games like pool.
Pubgoers will be able to ‘spin the wheel’ and try their luck at winning free onion rings, games or shots, and even discounted drinks.
The food menu includes classic Bavarian-inspired dishes with a modern twist - including bratwurst, currywurst, schnitzel, and loaded fries.
There will also be stone-baked pizza served up by Doughboys.
The drinks menu includes The Bierkeller’s signature two-pint Bavarian beer, cocktail steins, beer towers and table-top keggies.
Alongside well-loved options like Guinness, Stella, and Worthington’s, there will be local brews on draught.
The line-up includes Salt Jute from SALT Beer Factory, Erdinger, ABK Hell and other classic German bottled beers.
Inside, the building has been transformed with greenery, patterned tiles, map prints, and colourful wood features on the walls.
There is a paint-splashed white piano and a mix of plush velvet booths and leather-topped stools for seating.
The new beer garden offers space for drinkers to sit outside in the warmer months.
Speaking earlier this month, Brendan said: "Locals are in for a treat with Klubhaus— it'll be a vibrant spot where you can kick back and let your hair down. We'll also be introducing some great offers including industry discount for hospitality staff, heroes discount for service workers and our much-loved spin-the-wheel.
"We're excited to create a fun and welcoming space with a warm, community feel that we hope locals from Saltaire and the surrounding areas will love."
He added: “We’ll be offering 10-plus draught beers at Klubhaus so there's really something for everyone.”
