ANYONE remember Bonnie 'N' Clydes?
"Something of an original approach to the world of fashion is offered by a new clothing shop in Bradford's city centre," reported the T&A on November 27, 1989. "David Briggs, owner of Bonnie 'N' Clyde in Godwin Street, aims to provide something rather special on the fashion scene. His proud boast is that there is no other outlet of this kind in Bradford.
"All the garments on offer are in a maximum of three items. The lines are Italian, French, German and Spanish. Stock is replaced on average every two to three weeks, ensuring a speedy turnaround. There is a wide range of shirts, T-shirts, ties, belts, skirts, blouses, jumpers and shorts, and accessories like watches.
"Because David possesses an advance catalogue, customers can look into the fashion future."
