Businesses in five areas across the Bradford district will benefit from new ‘Fibre-to-the-Premises’ broadband.
Alternative network operator Brsk is expanding to cover 10,000 premises in Denholme, Haworth, Crossroads, Wilsden, and Cullingworth.
Residents and businesses in Cullingworth were the first to gain access to Brsk’s new network, and work is reportedly currently underway to connect Haworth, Crossflatts, Denholme, and Wilsden.
Bradford Council’s portfolio holder for regeneration, transport, and planning, Alex Ross-Shaw, said: "Teams from the council have been engaging with Brsk and sharing our mapped data on areas which would benefit from coverage.
"We are pleased this seems to have informed their plans."
The work to connect Haworth, Crossflatts, Denholme, and Wilsden should be completed by December this year, according to a City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council spokesperson.
