Shipley Town Council has announced the opening of a new community office in the recently renovated Kirkgate Community Centre.
The office is part of the council's efforts to provide more accessible services and strengthen connections with residents, businesses, and local organisations.
The Kirkgate Community Centre has undergone refurbishment to transform it into what is described as a "modern, welcoming space for residents of all ages."
It now offers meeting rooms, event spaces, social activities, and support programmes.
Councillor Mike Connors, chair of Shipley Town Council, said: "We are absolutely delighted to establish our new office in the Kirkgate Community Centre.
"This marks an exciting time for Shipley, as this newly renovated centre will serve as a vibrant hub for local residents and groups.
"It’s fantastic to see the vision for this space come to life, and we’re thrilled to be part of it.
"Our new office will allow us to be even more accessible to the community, offering a central point where residents can seek support, raise issues, and engage with Shipley Town Council directly."
Shipley Town Council’s new space at the centre will be open to the public every Wednesday from 1pm to 2pm, and otherwise by appointment.
