A PATIENT was taken to hospital after a vehicle overturned on a main road this morning. 

According to travel monitoring site Inrix, the A62 Leeds Road in Liversedge was partially blocked both ways due to the overturned vehicle around the A638 Bradford Road junction.

Queueing traffic was also reported.

At around 10.30am, Inrix said the road had been cleared and traffic was easing. 

Video circulating on social media showed an overturned vehicle on the road and Yorkshire Ambulance Service (YAS) at the scene.

A spokesperson for YAS said: "We came across a road traffic collision at 7.30am on the A62 in Liversedge and transported a patient to hospital."

It is understood police were also aware of the incident.
