A MAN has been banned from begging or appearing homeless anywhere in the Bradford district.
West Yorkshire Police has issued Aaron Harpley with a Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO) which lasts for two years.
The CBO includes a number of requirements - and if Harpley breaches any of them, he could be arrested and may be fined or sent to prison.
The order states he must not: "Sit, sleep or loiter in an area accessible to members of the public with any item or article which would give another person the impression that you are either homeless or begging in the Bradford district."
He must not ask another person for money or goods - including alcohol and cigarettes - in the Bradford district.
Harpley must not remain in any shop or commercial premises when asked to leave by any staff member in the Bradford district.
He must not enter the area of Shipley town centre bordered by Saltaire Road, Bingley Road, Bradford Road, Otley Road and Commercial Street, apart from when attending planned appointments.
Finally, Harpley is prohibited from consuming alcohol in a public place.
The CBO will expire on October 30, 2026.
Anyone who sees Harpley breaking any of his terms before that date should call West Yorkshire Police on 101.
