The chair of the Shipley Towns Fund board has stepped down.
Adam Clerkin had served as the chairman of the Towns Fund board since its inception in 2020, when Shipley was one of 101 places in the country to receive a £25 million package of government funding through the Towns Fund initiative.
The Shipley Towns Fund board was established as a partnership of public and private sector representatives - to be chaired by a local private sector individual - to oversee the programme of regeneration.
During his tenure, the role of the board shifted into one of monitoring the delivery of multi-million-pound projects such as the new Shipley Sustainability Hub, as well as the Community Grants programme and the Capital Assistance to Business Growth grants.
Mr Clerkin said: "It has been a privilege to hold the position of chair of the Shipley Towns Fund.
"It was a particular pleasure to be part of the launch of the new Shipley Sustainable Hub recently.
"I’d like to thank everyone who I have worked with over the years."
The next steps are for an interim chair to be appointed at the next board meeting on Monday, December 2.
