The National Science and Media Museum’s Pictureville Cinema has announced its Christmas programme.

Starting from December 7, the cinema will show a variety of feel-good films, cult classics, and family favourites.

The programme includes classic films such as It's a Wonderful Life (1946) and The Bishop's Wife (1947), as well as a 70th-anniversary screening of White Christmas (1954).

The Royal Ballet's The Nutcracker (2023) will also get the big screen treatment.

Other highlights include anniversary screenings of Gremlins (1984) and The Polar Express (2004), as well as The Muppet Christmas Carol (1992) and Die Hard (1988).

For those seeking an alternative Christmas film, Pictureville will be screening seasonal anime tragicomedy Tokyo Godfathers (2003), as well as new release Christmas Eve in Miller’s Point (2024).

There will also be festive-themed Kids' Club screenings on weekends throughout December, at a discounted rate of £3 per ticket.

Kids' Club films include Elf (2003), Arthur Christmas (2011), and Home Alone (1990).

CBeebies Panto 2024: Beauty and the Beast will also be screened on selected weekends.
