A MAN has appeared in court following an incident where a police officer was struck by a vehicle in Bradford.
Zain Iqbal, 28, of Ridgeway, Roundhay, Leeds, was charged with attempted wounding, dangerous driving and failing to stop.
The charges relate to an incident in the Girlington area of the city on Monday.
The male police officer was taken to hospital with what were described as non-life-threatening injuries.
He has since been discharged from hospital.
Iqbal appeared before Bradford and Keighley Magistrates' Court on Wednesday.
He was remanded in custody and is next due to appear at Bradford Crown Court on December 11.
