A NEW supermarket planned for a Bradford retail park has applied for a licence to sell alcohol.

Food Warehouse is due to open in the old Bargain Buys unit at the Woodhall Retail Park in Thornbury.

The brand is owned by Iceland, and the retail park’s existing Iceland unit will shut once this bigger superstore opens.

Now the company has applied for a licence to sell alcohol at the store between 7am and 11pm – seven days a week.

The company has yet to reveal an opening date for the new store, but planning applications for minor works to the building have said it would employ 10 full-time and 30 part-time staff.
