A man has been charged following an incident where a police officer was struck by a vehicle in Bradford.
Zain Iqbal, 28, of Ridgeway, Roundhay, Leeds, has been charged with attempted wounding, dangerous driving and failing to stop.
He has been remanded in custody to appear before Bradford Magistrates' today (Wednesday).
The charges relate to an incident in the Girlington area of the city on Monday, November 11.
Police said they were called to a report of a man "acting suspiciously" in a vehicle on Ingleby Road at around 8pm.
Officers attended and, as police approached the vehicle, the driver reportedly drove off.
The vehicle was subsequently "in collision with the police officer", according to a spokesperson from West Yorkshire Police.
The male police officer was taken to hospital with what were described non life-threatening injuries.
He has since been discharged from hospital.
