A DENTAL firm which is celebrating a milestone has unveiled major expansion plans.

Taylored Dental Care is marking 15 years since its first practice opened in Cavendish Street, Keighley. It has since set up two further practices, at Idle and Wibsey.

The team is carrying out 15 random acts of kindness – including donating to food banks and animal shelters, litter picking and making charitable contributions.

And now it's preparing for a move into a bigger, state-of-the-art facility in Keighley.

The firm will relocate early next year from its Cavendish Street base to a site in Airedale Road.

An extensive renovation of the former Santoni restaurant will create a modern practice with more than five surgeries and private parking.

Currently there are two dentists, a dental therapist and clinical dental technician – plus a reception and nurse team – based at Keighley, and it is hoped to create additional posts.

Carl Taylor founded the original practice of Taylored Dental Care, which focuses on treating nervous patients – offering dental sedation, implants, orthodontics as well as private general and cosmetic dentistry.

He says: "I can’t quite believe it has been 15 years since we first opened our doors.

"We are so proud to be helping those who don’t like dentists, and with plans in place for our new larger practice opposite Marley playing fields, we will be able to help many more."

The company this month was announced as a winner in the Private Dentistry Awards.

It collected the Treatment Of Nervous Patients (North) accolade in a ceremony at The Grosvenor House Hotel, London.

The category featured 12 finalists.

Mr Taylor said: "Helping nervous patients is at the heart of everything we do. To be recognised and win this category at such a prestigious event means so much to us."

A spokesperson for the Private Dentistry Awards says: "This is one of the most prestigious and respected dental awards programmes in the UK.

"Independently judged by professionals in the field and chaired by the esteemed Dr David Houston, these awards recognise outstanding achievements in private dentistry by individuals and teams across the nation.

"Congratulations go to all the winners, and those who made the shortlist."

The judging panel also included principal dentists Paul Abrahams and Zainab Al-Mukhtar.
