AN elderly man is no longer considered to be in a life-threatening condition after a crash involving a lorry on a major road.
The collision happened on Otley Road, Guiseley, at 10.10am on November 5, outside the Philip Kirkby Jeweller building and Morrisons.
It involved an 88-year-old pedestrian and a white Scania HGV lorry, which was travelling towards Menston.
The pedestrian, a man, was rushed to hospital with serious leg and hip injuries.
A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police initially said the man's injuries were "considered as life-threatening due to his age".
The spokesperson told the Telegraph & Argus this morning: "The 88-year-old is no longer considered to be in a life-threatening condition and enquiries remain ongoing into the collision."
The driver of the lorry was spoken to by officers at the scene.
A police cordon was in place at the location for much of the day.
Anyone who saw the collision should call police on 101, quoting log number 0433 of November 5.
