A POPULAR Bradford gym has undergone a transformation giving it a "more modern look and feel".
Work began on the PureGym at Gallagher Leisure Park, Thornbury, on Monday, September 9.
The gym has now been transformed with the latest state-of-the-art equipment.
The revamp includes an extended women's workout space, an upgraded functional area with sled track, a dual studio with new spin bikes, an improved free weights area with an eight-bay lifting rig, and a new stretch area.
'A brand new look and feel'
A spokesperson for PureGym, said: "The club refurbishment is an investment in the people of PureGym Bradford Thornbury and surrounding areas, providing them with the same 24/7 access to affordable, flexible fitness, but with a brand new gym to support them on their fitness journeys."
They added: “We are delighted to bring PureGym Bradford Thornbury members a brand new look and feel to their gym.
"The transformation is an exciting moment for the club and will ensure members have access to first-class gym equipment to help enhance their physical and mental well-being.
"We look forward to seeing everyone, both returning members and new ones, enjoy our refurbished gym.”
Relaunch event
It was 2015 when PureGym took over the former Virgin Active site at Gallagher Leisure Park.
Since then, many gym-goers across both Bradford and Leeds have made good use of the facilities on offer.
The completion of the transformation was celebrated on Friday, October 25, with an official relaunch event where members were offered goodie bags and a chance to trial the new facilities.
PureGym continues to grow
Earlier this year, PureGym, which also has a site at Idle, said it plans to keep expanding with new gyms after opening 40 across the UK over the past year.
It came as the gym operator said the new sites helped drive a rise in revenues in 2023 amid a “challenging” economic backdrop for the business and customers.
The leisure company revealed that revenues grew 15 per cent to £549 million for the year, compared with 2022.
