A WOMAN has been fined and an order has been made to destroy a banned dog she had custody of.
Zoe Milner, 33, of Rushmoor Road, in Holme Wood, Bradford, was sentenced for possessing or having custody of a fighting dog at Barnsley Law Courts last Monday, according to court records.
She had previously pleaded guilty to the offence at the same court on August 7 this year.
The offence relates to when Milner lived in Barnsley.
On February 22 this year, she was in possession or custody off a Pit Bull Terrier named "Ayla", which is banned under section 1 of the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991, described as "dogs bred for fighting".
Other dog breeds banned in the UK include: Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino, Fila Brasileiro, and most recently XL Bully.
Milner was ordered to pay £141 in total, which includes a £40 fine, a surcharge of £16 to fund victim services, and £85 in costs.
An order was passed by the court to destroy Ayla.
