A WOMAN has been sentenced and an order made to destroy a dog named Bouncer after he injured a female.
Keeley Brooksbank, 24, of Kirkwall Drive, in Holme Wood, Bradford pleaded guilty to being the owner or person in charge of a dog dangerously out of control causing injury at Bradford and Keighley Magistrates' Court on Thursday, November 7.
She was sentenced the same day.
Brooksbank was in charge of a Bull Mastiff named Bouncer in Old Road, Bradford on March 31 this year, the court heard.
The dog was "dangerously out of control" and attacked and injured a female, according to court records.
The court gave Brooksbank a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered her to pay £100 in compensation.
An order was also made that Bouncer should be destroyed - but the owner of the dog, which is not Brooksbank, has 21 days to make an appeal against the decision.
Court records show that West Yorkshire Police must notify the owner as soon as possible about the order and his right to appeal.
