Kirklees College is preparing for its first open days of the academic year.

The Huddersfield centres will welcome visitors on Saturday, November 16, while the Dewsbury centres will hold their open days the following Saturday, November 23.

Kirklees College operates from seven centres in total across Huddersfield and Dewsbury, including two main campuses (Huddersfield Centre, in Huddersfield town centre, and Springfield Sixth Form Centre, in Dewsbury), as well as five specialist centres catering to specific trades.

Training facilities in Kirklees College's various centres include a digital music production suite and DJ equipment for music students, VR headsets, 3D printers, robotic arms, and an Anatomage table that replicates the human body.

Some of the college's recently added equipment has been made possible by the government's Local Skills Improvement Fund.

More established facilities include two fully-functioning hair and beauty salons, and a mock hospital ward designed for T Level Health students, that allows them to practice on working dummies in a realistic hospital environment.

The open days will run from 10.30am to 1pm in Huddersfield and 10.30am to 12.30pm in Dewsbury (on the following Saturday), with last entries at 12.30pm and 12pm respectively.

Free tickets are available to be booked via the Kirklees College website at https://www.kirkleescollege.ac.uk/
