A rising British-Nigerian artist tipped by BBC Introducing as having a "fresh empowering sound" will release her debut EP this month.
Afrobaby's project, SAFE SPACE, will be released on November 22, 2024, via Launchpad Plus.
The EP explores themes of anxiety, self-discovery, and mental health.
Afrobaby was recently selected by Bradford 2025 to represent the city's music scene at the launch of Bradford's City of Culture initiative.
The artist said of the EP: "Music has always been a safe space for me.
"This project is a reflection of my personal journey with anxiety and the importance of creating spaces where we can all be vulnerable, honest, and free from societal expectations."
SAFE SPACE builds on the success of Afrobaby's single I'll Keep Dancing, and includes tracks such as Lighter, inspired by her struggles with social anxiety, and What U Need, a downtempo track about resilience and accepting where you are in life.
Afrobaby said: "What U Need became a reminder that sometimes what we want isn’t what we truly need, and that everyone’s journey is different."
SAFE SPACE will be available to stream on all major platforms from November 22, 2024.
