AN 18-year-old has died in hospital from injuries suffered in a crash on a major Bradford road.

The collision involved a motorbike - which had two males on board - and a red Vauxhall Corsa on Harrogate Road last Tuesday (October 28).

It happened following a police pursuit that had been authorised after the motorbike reportedly failed to stop for officers in the Eccleshill area at around 1.20pm.

West Yorkshire Police notified the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) about the incident.

Following the crash, one of the males was taken to hospital having suffered life-threatening injuries.

The IOPC has now confirmed the 18-year-old, who was a passenger in on the motorbike, passed away in hospital yesterday.

The rider of the motorbike, another male, suffered serious injuries in the collision.

The IOPC independent investigation into the incident continues.
