PEOPLE living in Bradford could be eligible for a free pack to keep them warm this winter.
The service is being offered in the Bradford Council area by fuel poverty charity Green Doctor.
Green Doctor is run by Groundwork, a group of charities working across the UK to help people make savings on their energy, water, and money.
The service is handing out a free 'winter warm pack to eligible residents during home visits.
The packs include small, essential items such as fleece blankets, thermal socks, and hot water bottles.
The visits aim to target heat loss in the home, energy debts, eco-friendly living on a budget, retrofitting, and more.
Workers are trained to spot issues, including damp, mould, and health conditions, and help people access financial support.
In the UK, one in 10 households experience fuel poverty, the organisation said.
A household living in fuel poverty is defined as those with a low income and high fuel costs, and when the remaining income after paying for fuel is less than 60 per cent of the median income after housing costs.
Anyone who wishes to book a home visit can apply by visiting the Green Doctor website at https://bit.ly/winterwarmpack
People will need to fill out a brief survey which determines the best courses of action.
