A BRADFORD city centre restaurant has closed its doors after less than seven months of trading.
There was great fanfare when IceBurg, which has a branch in Preston, opened in the former Haute Dolci unit on Broadway on April 27.
Along with Angus beef burgers and loaded fries, the restaurant served up shakes, icetails, and churros.
But the Bradford restaurant is no longer mentioned on the company's website and the last reference to the city on IceBurg's Facebook site was in September.
At the time of opening, Nizam Mohammed, CEO of IceBurg, said: "IceBurg is thrilled to be landing at The Broadway in Bradford.
"We can’t wait to meet the local community and share our delicious gourmet menu with you."
In April, the restaurant celebrated its grand launch by handing out more than 100 free burgers.
Shortly after, a spokesman for the fast food chain said they hoped to win more business on an evening.
The restaurant, which opened 11am to 11pm seven days a week, said business had been going well since its soft launch on April 15 but it wanted to encourage more visitors to come in the evenings.
A spokesman added: "It has been quite busy during the lunch hours. A lot of people come in at lunchtime.
"We need to push for people to come during the evening as well."
However, today The Broadway has confirmed the restaurant has closed - but said a new retailer will be announced soon.
It comes at a time of new openings for the shopping centre.
Both shoezone and Brows & Nails opened this past weekend - building on the arrivals of clothing retailers Primark and Sapphire, and wellbeing brand Rituals - in recent months.
Wingstop is also expected to open in early December.
A spokesperson for The Broadway said: "We can confirm that IceBurg has ceased trading but we will be announcing a new retailer soon."
The Telegraph & Argus approached IceBurg for a comment.
