A FORMER Bradford Bulls club secretary has sadly died.

Carole Hirst worked at the club for almost 20 years between 1983 and 2004 holding various roles.

Bulls say Carole was a "much loved member of staff", meanwhile former CEO Gary Tasker said she was "a big player in a great off field team".

A post on the Bradford Bulls X page read: "We are extremely saddened to learn of the recent passing of Carole Hirst.

"Carole worked at the club in various capacities from 1983 to 2004, initially selling lottery tickets in Morrisons to becoming Club Secretary.

"Carole was a much loved member of staff.

"Our thoughts and condolences are with Carole's nearest and dearest at this difficult time."

Mr Tasker added: "She was very much a part of why the club meant so much to so many, a big player in a great off field team!"
