A RESTAURANT said it would be the "cherry on top of the curry" if it was to take home a Telegraph & Argus award.
The T&A recently launched its Best Curry House 2024 competition, with readers invited to share their favourite eateries.
And they did just that as thousands of nominations poured in.
These were then whittled down to 10 and we are now in the process of profiling each of the finalists.
Today is the turn of Krahi & Handi Master on Clayton Road.
Nadeem Butt, who has worked in the restaurant for 14 years, is delighted to see them make the final 10 in the competition.
He said: "We are always buying copies of the Telegraph & Argus, so to be nominated it is wonderful.
"It would be the cherry on top of the curry if we were to win."
Chef and owner Khadim Hussain has been known on the curry scene in Bradford since first opening Khadims on Lumb Lane in 1973.
Mr Hussain grew up in Pakistan in a foodie family before his uncle invited him over to the UK.
Since then, he has been serving the city authentic home-style Asian food and collected many awards along the way.
Back in 2019, Krahi & Handi Master was crowned Best Take Away in the North of England at the Asian Catering Federation (ACF) awards.
The restaurant - which says it focuses on quality, not quantity - takes pride in its Krahi Meat, Dhaal Tarka, Krahi Chicken, and Krahi Vegetable dishes.
Other chef special's include Butter Chicken, Garlic Chilli Masala, and Spring Lamb off the bone.
Mr Hussain said: "Our aim is to provide customers the quality food they deserve.
"We take great pride in the way we prepare our food by using fresh ingredients.
"Freshly cooked food is at the forefront of our restaurant."
Don't miss out on your chance to shout up for your favourite curry house as part of our competition.
It really couldn't be simpler to vote for the venue you think should win.
All you need to do is fill out the voting form, which can be found in the T&A.
The voting coupon will run in the newspaper until November 9, so there is plenty of opportunity to make sure the curry house you think is the finest is in with a chance of taking the top spot.
