POLICE have taken action against a number of youths who were caught during a Trojan Bus deployment operation in Bradford.
Police officers from the Shipley Neighbourhood Policing Team carried out a Trojan Bus deployment in Baildon and Shipley on Friday and plain clothes officers caught a number of youths who were reportedly committing anti-social behaviour.
A spokesperson for the Shipley NPT said: "The Trojan Bus was deployed in Baildon and Shipley tonight (Friday).
"Numerous youths were caught in the act of anti-social behaviour and will be dealt with positively by the Shipley NPT, depending on offending history.
"Trojan Bus is a tactic used by police, Bradford Council and First Bus which sees officers in plain clothes ride on bus services to tackle antisocial behaviour."
Officers started using the tactic amid rising concerns over nuisance behaviour blighting bus services. In some instances, services have had to be suspended from travelling to certain estates in the district after buses were vandalised by yobs.
