A NEW supermarket is still on track to open in early 2025 as the construction of a town centre retail development continues at pace.

The new Aldi store, drive-thru restaurant, and row of smaller shops are currently being built in the centre of Keighley, off East Parade.

It is one of the biggest developments in the town in years and will occupy a former mill site that has been empty for over a decade.

Once completed, Aldi will move its Keighley branch from a unit on Gresley Road to the new, larger unit.

The buildings are nearing completion and the Aldi sign, complete with opening hours, has already been erected.

Earlier this year Aldi said the new store would be open in the first quarter of 2025.

The Telegraph & Argus has asked if that is still the target for opening.

A spokesman confirmed that it was, but said they could not confirm which retailers would be moving into the other units.
