AN off-duty police officer spotted a man who was wanted on prison recall.
West Yorkshire Police said on its Community Alert website that a Neighbourhood Policing Officer, who wasn't working at the time, saw a man who "they knew to be wanted on a prison recall" last Friday in Yeadon.
A spokesperson for the force said: "They were also suspected of being responsible for a theft from a shop in Guiseley, which they've since been charged with."
The officer arrested the man and he has now been recalled to prison.
