FILMING for what is understood to be the new Peaky Blinders movie is set to get underway in Bradford city centre.
A production team has descended on the Little Germany area - causing intrigue among locals.
The Telegraph & Argus visited the scene this morning and saw what looked like wartime vehicles and old-fashioned cars, as well as stacks of sandbags and posters from the 1940s.
A large pile of rubble could be spotted on Cater Street, looking down from Bradford Coroner's Court.
A sign stating Birmingham Montague Barracks was also seen.
Period crime drama Peaky Blinders - which aired on the BBC between 2013 and 2022 - followed the escapades of a Birmingham gang in the years after World War One.
A letter, from Oblik Productions Ltd, was sent to residents and businesses in the Little Germany area.
While it does not mention Peaky Blinders, the letter states filming will take place from Wednesday to Friday, between 6pm and 4am.
It adds: "To facilitate our shoot safely we will be implementing a temporary road closure in the area during the week beginning Monday, October 28, and ending Sunday, November 3.
"During our prep and filming hours, the area will be closed to the public, although pedestrian and vehicle access will be maintained for residents and businesses.
"Please be aware that anyone wishing to access the filming area may be asked to wait for a short period between takes while we ensure the area is safe.
"The closure area will include Burnett Street, Cater Street, Currer Street, Field Street and Vicar Lane."
Peaky Blinders' series creator Steven Knight decided to bring the hit show to a close with season six - a time marked by challenges posed by the Covid pandemic.

It is understood theIn 2022, Cillian Murphy - who plays Tommy Shelby in Peaky Blinders - said: "I think Steve has always had an endgame in mind. Covid screwed that up a bit. But now he's got lots of plans to make a film.
"So I don't think this is the end of the story. I think it's probably just the end of the story in this form.
"But Steve is always bringing up ideas - and they're always good. So I'll just wait and see what he has to say."
