FIREFIGHTERS responded to reports of smoke at a block of high-rise flats in Bradford last night.
However, the incident was later deemed to be a false alarm.
Crews attended Colonnade House on Sunbridge Road after receiving reports of smoke at 8pm.
Residents left the premises for a time while firefighters carried out an investigation.
No fire was found and the incident was recorded as a false alarm.
A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "We attended Sunbridge Road, Bradford, following an initial call at 8pm yesterday reporting smoke in a high-rise building.
"Due to the nature of the building, crews attended and carried out an investigation.
"No fire was identified and it was deemed a false alarm.
"Therefore, occupants were safe to return to their properties."
