A WATCHDOG has requested more information from West Yorkshire Police after a serious crash in Bradford yesterday.

The collision involved a motorbike - which had two males on board - and a red Vauxhall Corsa on Harrogate Road.

It happened following a police pursuit that had been authorised after the motorbike reportedly failed to stop for officers in the Eccleshill area at around 1.20pm.

Following the crash, one of the males was taken to hospital having suffered "what are believed to be life-threatening injuries", according to West Yorkshire Police.

The second male suffered serious injuries which are not thought to be life-threatening, the force added.

No other injuries were reported.

A stretch of Harrogate Road was closed after the collision and drivers were urged to avoid the area.

The Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) was notified about the incident.
