TWO males on a motorbike have been rushed to hospital with serious injuries following a crash in Bradford.

Emergency services scrambled to Harrogate Road just after 1.20pm this afternoon.

A cordon is in place between Leeds Old Road and Moorside Road.

Drivers have been urged to avoid the area.

The stretch of the road is expected to be shut for "some time".

A spokesperson for the force said: "Emergency services are attending on Harrogate Road in Bradford this afternoon following a serious collision involving a motorcycle. 

"Two males on the bike were taken to hospital for treatment to serious injuries following the incident. 

"Police remain on scene and the road is expected to be closed for some time.

"Drivers are urged to avoid the area."

A spokesperson said: "We received an emergency call at 1.21pm to report a collision involving a motorbike on Harrogate Road, Bradford.

"A number of ambulance resources were dispatched to the scene including two ambulances, an air ambulance, and critical care paramedics.

"Two patients were conveyed top Leeds General Infirmary (LGI) by road."
