FIREFIGHTERS had to rescue a person from a car after a crash at the top of a huge hill in Bradford.
Yorkshire Ambulance Service (YAS) confirmed it received an emergency call at 9.38am today reporting a single-vehicle collision on Wrose Road, in Shipley.
A bystander said the top of Carr Lane was blocked off, at its junction with Wrose Road, by the crash.
Two fire engines were at the scene, as well as an ambulance.
The bystander said that fire crews had to "cut someone out of the car".
A spokesperson for YAS said an ambulance was dispatched to the scene and one individual was rushed to Bradford Royal Infirmary.
The Telegraph & Argus visited the scene and a silver car was being recovered at 12.45pm.
Its roof had been removed and it looked badly damaged.
