A WITNESS has described seeing weapons and “lots of blood” during a serious assault that was linked to a family dispute.
West Yorkshire Police said it was called at 10.30pm last night to reports of a serious assault at the junction of Bilton Place and City Road, in Bradford.
A spokesperson for the force said the attack was “linked to a family dispute”.
A witness said there was a “big commotion” going on and everyone came out into the street.
They claimed to see weapons, including knives, machetes, and a chainsaw.
They said: “There was lots of blood and smashed glass on the floor”.
Women were injured during the assault and one man had to go to ICU with injuries to his upper body, according to the witness.
A police cordon was put in place following the attack and it remained in place this morning while investigations continued.
The spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said there is “no known risk to the wider public”.
