FIVE people have in Bradford have been convicted for using a TV without licence in the last six months, according to court records.

All five were found guilty of the charge of using a television set without a licence at Kirklees Magistrates’ Court on various days.

The law states that: "A television receiver must not be installed or used unless the installation and use of the receiver is authorised by a licence."

Someone is guilty if they have a receiver and intend to install or use it, or has reasonable grounds for believing that another person intends to do so.
