POLICE have launched an appeal after finding a "large quantity" of Yorkshire stone which is believed to have been stolen.
Officers from West Yorkshire Police's Calderdale Valleys Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) discovered a large quantity of Yorkshire stone in the Halifax area.
A post from the NPT's Facebook page said: "Officers in Halifax have located a large quantity of believed stolen Yorkshire stone which has now been recovered for safekeeping.
"We are appealing to try and find the rightful owner/s of the stone in question, so please make contact if you think you can assist."
