TWO tribute acts which had originally been planned to help launch Bradford Live this autumn will now perform at other venues in the city next year.
In January, it was announced 'Legend: The Music of Bob Marley' and 'Thank You For The Music - The Ultimate Tribute to Abba' would be held at the venue in November.
But in May, both shows were cancelled and customers who had bought tickets were offered refunds.
The cancellations came four months before it was announced the NEC Group would no longer operate Bradford Live.
It has now been confirmed 'Legend: The Music of Bob Marley' will take place at the Alhambra Theatre on March 19 next year.
The show has been described as an "unforgettable evening celebrating this music icon in one fantastic stage show".
Meanwhile, 'Thank You For The Music - The Ultimate Tribute to Abba' will be held at St George's Hall on June 12 next year.
That show is billed as "combining unmistakable harmonies, colourful costumes and dazzling performances by an all-star cast".
Both shows are productions by the company Entertainers.
A search is currently underway to find a new operator for Bradford Live, which had been due to launch in a matter of weeks.
It remains to be seen exactly when the £50.5 million venue will open.
Those behind Bradford Live have long said it promises to be a "world-class entertainment centre".
On September 19, a joint statement from Bradford Council and the NEC Group said: "Bradford Live and Bradford Council announce that a process is underway to appoint a new operator for Bradford Live.
"This follows a decision by the NEC Group that the venue will be better served by an alternative operator.
"Following a strategic review of its business, the NEC Group will focus on its existing operations in the Birmingham area.
"Bradford Council and the NEC Group have agreed settlement terms to release NEC from the contract that was in place for them to operate the venue.
"NEC will step away from Bradford Live with immediate effect."
Details of the settlement terms were not provided when the Telegraph & Argus asked for them.
