A COUNCILLOR has organised a charity event in memory of her sister who sadly died at the age of 45, back in 2016.

It will take place at St James' Church, on Kirklands Lane in Baildon, tomorrow (Saturday, October 26) from 7.30pm.

Organised by Baildon councillor Debbie Davies, more than 40 tickets have been sold for 'Cathy's Concert'.

It is a ‘Last Night of the Proms’ event, with the Friendly Brass Band performing.

Lots of raffle prizes have also been donated from businesses including Kashmiri Aroma, The Hair Lounge, Mother Hubbard's, Shipley Glen Tramway and Baildon Travel.

The event will raise funds for Gastro Intestinal Stomach Tumour (GIST) Cancer UK.
