A POLICE presence still remains in the Barkerend area of Bradford despite cordons being lifted on a major road.
This morning, police announced that they had arrested two men, aged 26 and 28, on suspicion of murder after Luqman Ishfaq died following a stabbing on Barlow Street, Bradford, at around 10.30pm on Monday night.
Barkerend Road and surrounding streets in the area had been cordoned off all day on Tuesday and Wednesday of this week as police carried out investigations into the man's death.
The scene today has been scaled back and Barkerend Road has re-opened, however, a police presence remains in the area as investigations continue.
A cordon remains in place around a building site on Barkerend Road near Barlow Street.
A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: "A scene is still on but it has been reduced from what it was.
"We still have a police presence with enquiries ongoing at locations in the area."
