CRIME scene investigators have been paying close attention to a badly-damaged car within the extensive cordon put in place after a murder in Bradford.
A 23-year-old man has died after being stabbed on Barlow Street, in the Barkerend area of the city.
Residents have described chaotic scenes, including one account of a vehicle being rammed and the victim being attacked by multiple men. Screaming and shouting could be heard.
This lunchtime, officers in white forensic suits were focusing their attention on a black hatchback vehicle located on Barkerend Road that had sustained severe damage.
The car's bonnet is scrunched up and almost bent back double after what must have been a huge impact.
The vehicle's windscreen is also smashed and is significantly indented in a large circular shape.
The silhouette of the car is now difficult to distinguish, but it would appear to be a Volkswagen Golf.
A number of scenes are on including Back Heath Terrace, Upper Rushton Road, Barlow Street, Barkerend Road, Harewood Street and Gladstone Street.
Detectives from the Homicide and Major Enquiry Team are carrying out extensive enquiries.
Local Neighbourhood Policing Patrols have been stepped up to provide reassurance.
