THE Broadway has teased an "unforgettable line-up" for its Festive Launch this Christmas.

Annually, the Bradford city centre shopping centre hosts several free events including the Christmas lights switch-on with famous names often attending.

Last year, 90s girl band B*Witched were joined by an ABBA tribute act, RateMyTakeaway YouTube star Danny Malin and musician Ellie Sax for the festive show.

In recent years, the likes of Liberty XTinchy Stryder, and Jake Quickenden have all performed on a stage outside the former M&S unit.

This year's launch event, the centre's seventh, will take place on Saturday, November 9.

Also making a return is the centre’s ‘Broadway Voices’ - a talent show to find the district’s next big choir.

School, community, or church choirs will have the chance to win big and perform live at The Broadway’s Festive Launch - winning a £500 Bradford city gift card in the process.

The Broadway says it will be announcing the acts and events for 2024 in the "coming weeks".

A post on its X account read: "Get ready for Festive Launch 2024!

"The countdown has begun, and we're excited to bring you an unforgettable line-up.

"Stay tuned— we’ll be announcing the acts and events in the coming weeks.

"Keep your eyes peeled on our socials for all the latest updates!"

Ian Ward, general manager at The Broadway said: “Our Festive Launch is a great way to kick off the Christmas season so I’m really pleased that we are on count down until November 9.

"We aren’t giving away much at the moment but as always we will welcome acts that the whole family will love.

“It’s also great news that ‘Broadway Voices’ is returning for the fourth time.

"We’ve had a great response so far so I’m very excited to get to know more about them and see who is crowned the winner.”

Mr Ward added: “Our Festive launch attracts thousands of shoppers so each year we try and better the previous year.

"The Festive period will lead us into Bradford being City of Culture in 2025 so we’ll have even more cause for celebration for when that kicks off."
