A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of stealing a vehicle after a crash in Greengates.
Two people had to be rescued from one of two cars involved in the collision on New Line late on Sunday night.
West Yorkshire Police said officers on patrol tried to stop a Honda Civic on the road, which connects Leeds and Bradford, at around 10pm on Sunday.
The vehicle failed to stop and then collided with another car, a Ford Cmax, the force said.

Two people in that carA spokesperson for West Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service said it was called to the scene and sent crews from two fire stations.
One of the vehicles, a blue car, looked to have hit a wall during the collision, on the pathway at the corner of New Line and Sulby Grove.
A large slab could be seen resting on top of the car's bonnet, while much of the wall had collapsed.
Yorkshire Ambulance Service was also at the scene and rushed two people to Leeds General Infirmary.
A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said a 28-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of theft of a vehicle following the crash.
He remains in custody and officers from the force's Roads Policing Unit are continuing to investigate the collision.
A police cordon was put in place between Kebabeesh and the BP garage on New Line - members of the public reported this was still in place in the early hours of this morning.

"At around 10pm yesterday on New Line, Greengates, officers on patrol attempted to stop a vehicle.
"The vehicle a Honda Civic then made off and was in collision with another vehicle, a Ford Cmax.
"A 28-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of theft of a vehicle.
"He remains in police custody at this time.
"Two people in the Ford Cmax were taken to hospital to be checked over.
"Enquiries are ongoing by the Roads Policing Unit."
