AS FANS of Strictly Come Dancing immerse themselves in the current series, we twirl back to 2012, when a group of young performers trod the boards in Bradford with stars from Strictly Come Dancing.
A group of 45 children from DM Academy in Shipley joined Katya Virshilas and Pasha Kovalev, professional dancers on the hit BBC1 programme, for a show at St George’s Hall.
The show was an evening of dance and conversation, with the audience invited to put questions to the dancers.
Katya and Pasha performed various dances, with the youngsters joining them for two routines, a Seventies medley and a street dance.
“They were so excited about dancing with the Strictly stars,” said principal Deena Morgan. at the time.
