A POLICE cordon was put in place and two people were rescued after a crash involving a wall.

West Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service (WYFRS) was called to reports of a road traffic collision in New Line, Greengates, Bradford at 9.56pm last night.

A spokesperson for WYFRS said the crash involved two cars and crews from two fire stations were sent to the scene.

One of the vehicles, a blue car, looked to have hit a wall during the collision, on the pathway at the corner of New Line and Sulby Grove.

The WYFRS spokesperson said two people were trapped in the cars and had to be extricated by firefighters.

They were then left in the care of Yorkshire Ambulance Service (YAS).

A police cordon was put in place between Kebabeesh and the BP garage on New Line - members of the public reported this was still in place in the early hours of this morning.

"We were called at 21.56 last night to New Line, Bradford to reports of a road traffic collision.

"Two crews from Bradford attended the crash which was between two cars.

"The crews freed two casualties who were trapped in the cars and extricated them into the care of Yorkshire Ambulance Service."
