TWO people were rushed to hospital following a serious two-car crash last night (Friday).
Police have issued an appeal for more information following the crash which took place on Leeds Road between Old Pool Bank and Otley Bypass.
A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: "At 8.32pm yesterday, emergency services were called to a road traffic collision on the A660 Leeds Road, roughly halfway between Old Pool Bank and Otley Bypass.
"The collision involved a grey Vauxhall Zafira, which was travelling towards Otley, and a blue BMW 430, which was travelling in the opposite direction.
"The driver of the Zafira, a 42-year-old man from Rotherham, had to be removed from the vehicle by the fire service.
"He was taken to hospital for treatment to injuries that were considered serious but not life threatening.
"The driver of the BMW, a 34-year-old woman from Leeds, was also taken to hospital for treatment to injuries that were not considered life threatening.
"A road closure was put in place while emergency services dealt with the scene and was lifted shortly after midnight.
