THE Marie Curie charity shop on the high street in Shipley is gearing up for a pyjama evening on Thursday, October 24, from 4pm to 6pm.
The Market Square shop, which raises funds for the UK’s leading end of life charity, has been a part of the community for many years.
Sharon Erangey, manager of the Shipley shop, said: “We wanted to do an event in our store for the cold nights drawing in, we held a pyjama evening last year which was a great success.
“Our customers regularly donate nightwear, slippers, dressing gowns, so we started collecting all the items together a few months ago and now have an excellent selection of quality items for sale ranging from adult and children’s pyjamas, brand new pairs of cosy slippers, dressing gowns, blankets and gift sets. We will also be holding a tombola.
“Staff and our volunteers will be dressing up on the day, there will be a £1 entry fee.
"We are hoping the community will pop in and buy some of our stock knowing that for every item purchased they will be helping us raise funds to provide vital end of life care for people in and around Bradford, and emotional support for their family and friends.”
