TWO cars including a Mercedes were seized on a key Bradford road by police.

The Operation Steerside Team was busy on Manningham Lane.

The male driver of the Mercedes was reported after the vehicle was found to be insured to a female.

No other form of policy was produced.

In an unrelated incident, a driver of an MG was seen using their mobile phone while driving.

Operation Steerside officers used their new Honda CPF motorbikes to stop the vehicle.

The driver was also found to be a provisional licence holder with no 'L' plates or supervision.

The individual was reported and the car was seized.

Operation Steerside was formed in 2016 - two months after the Telegraph & Argus launched its 'Stop the Danger Drivers' campaign.

A dedicated team was set up three years later specifically to tackle crimes on our roads.

People can email bd.steerside@westyorkshire.pnn.police.uk to report information to the team.
