POLICE have issued an appeal for witnesses after an elderly woman suffered serious injuries in a two-car crash this afternoon.
The 82-year-old woman suffered serious injuries in the crash on Rawdon Road, Horsforth, which remains closed as police investigate.
A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: "Police are appealing for witnesses after a serious road traffic collision on Rawdon Road, Horsforth.
"Officers were called at 1.59pm today (October 17) by the ambulance service to reports two vehicles had been in collision.
"The driver of the blue Ford Fiesta, an 82-year-old woman, was taken to hospital with serious injuries. Her condition is described as critical.
"The driver of the other vehicle a red Audi S3 was not injured.
"The road remains closed whilst enquiries are carried out.
"Anyone who witnessed the collision or may have dash cam footage of it, is asked to contact police via 101 or use the live chat options at westyorkshire.police.uk/livechat quoting log number 891 of October 17.
