You can’t beat heading to a cosy pub on an autumn or winters day for a pint or Sunday roast, especially in the Bradford district.
Cosy season is certainly upon us, so with this in mind, we asked Telegraph and Argus readers on Facebook where they think the cosiest pubs are in the area, including those with toasty open fires.

Best cosy pubs in the Bradford district
The Lord Clyde
Location: 86 Thornton Road, Bradford, BD1 2DG
“Lord Clyde's great staff always a warm welcome lovely pub,” shared this Telegraph and Argus reader online.
On its Facebook page, the pub describes itself as one of the “oldest traditional real ale pubs in Bradford” that’s “full of atmosphere and character”.
Over on Google reviews, a recent customer wrote: “Smashing drinkers pub. Good choice of beers. Had blonde citrusy beer, it was excellent.
“Gents toilets are the best I've seen in years (my pointer on good pubs). Proper urinals like they have on the continent.”
The Corn Dolly
Location: 110 Bolton Road, Bradford, BD1 4DE
Commenting on their favourite cosy pub in the Bradford district, someone said: “The Corn Dolly best pub in town and its cosy with the real fire in winter, nice atmosphere with the lamps too.”
This person added: “Definitely the Corn Dolly.”
The Corn Dolly has a “wide selection” of drinks including three house ales with the likes of Taylor’s, Moorhouses amd Abbeydale, followed by five guest beers “always one strong and one dark you won’t be short of choice”, according to its website.
There is also a “strong selection of continental lagers from a wide selection of breweries” and “large selection” of fruity ciders.
Not to mention, The Corn Dolly also serves hearty pub food every Thursday and Friday from 12pm until 2pm.
The Queen Hotel
Location: 863 Thornton Road, Bradford, BD8 0HH
The Queen Hotel on Thorton Road was praised for its “amazing open fires.”
One local wrote under our Facebook post: “The Queen Hotel thornton road great company all round.”
Another added: “Beautifully decorated at Christmas time, open fire, great beers, and low prices.”
This regular said The Queen Hotel was their favourite cosy pub because of its “open coal fires, cold beer and great staff.”
Haworth Old Hall
Location: Sun Street, Haworth, Keighley, BD22 8BP
This person who shared a recommendation for cosiest pubs in the Bradford district said: “Old hall Haworth is cosy if you get a fire spot.”
“I agree with you on that very cosy place,” replied this reader.
On Tripadvisor, Haworth Old Hall has been highly praised, with a rating of 4/5 from 1,011 reviews.
A customer commented: “The food was absolutely delicious! We came for a pub lunch whilst exploring Haworth and the pub was cosy.
“It was very busy but the staff were attentive and we couldn't rate the food highly enough!”

The White Bear
Location: White Bear Inn, 41 High Street, Idle, Bradford, BD10 8QA
One local recalled The White Bear at Idle as “perfect”, adding: The White Bear Idle for sure! Always welcoming and with the open fire it’s perfect.”
This review on Google also reads: “Nice cozy pub on the inside, spacious beer garden outside.
“They have a good selection of local and domestic brews. Staff are great and service is excellent. They have pub game events as well, worth a gander.”
