A series of first-person video interviews has been launched by The Anti-Slavery Collective, in which the personal epiphanies of activists regarding modern slavery are shared.

The My Epiphany series, launched to mark Anti-Slavery Day (October 18), features ITN News at Ten anchor and journalist, Julie Etchingham, as its first interviewee.

Ms Etchingham's video is available to watch at https://drive.google.com/file/d/1N2Cg_TZnqCLfWLwGcUZtxSMoxjF8ilGE/view

The series launch follows the publication of the On Our Streets Report, by Hestia, which claims that the number of potential victims of modern slavery in the UK is at its highest level since records began in 2009.

Sarah Woodcock, CEO of The Anti-Slavery Collective, said: "The overarching message in our My Epiphany series is not one of horror and shock, but of inspiration and insight.

"We ultimately want to show how epiphanies have inspired individuals to dedicate their lives to making a difference."

The interview series will also feature political leaders, lawyers, and CEOs.
