A BRADFORD city centre charity has received a cash boost from the National Lottery Community Fund to help it continue its vital work.
The funding will benefit Create Strength Group (CSG), which specialises in helping people to stop using cannabis, spice and other addictive substances.
The National Lottery Community Fund awards money raised by National Lottery players to communities across the UK.
A spokesperson from CSG said: "This award is vital in supporting our work with Bradford people and their families affected by addiction.
"We provide addiction advice, information and support in an environment of rehab and confidentiality.
"Our support groups are based on abstinence recovery, mutual aid and self-help.
"It's not only about putting the drugs down, it's about change, growth and commitment.
"This award enables the continued delivery of our vital services to Bradford's addiction recovery community.
"A big thank you to National Lottery players."
Dave Memery, founder and chief executive of CSG, said: "We're delighted that the National Lottery Community Fund has recognised our work in this way.
"Now, thanks to National Lottery players we will be able to continue to develop and grow our services and help more people from Bradford towards their own sustainable abstinence and recovery."
