SEVERAL train services from Bradford Interchange to a key route have been cancelled or delayed this morning.

Passengers aiming to travel from Leeds to Manchester Victoria or visa versa have been left frustrated.

The disruption has been caused due to a power failure near Rochdale.

Bradford Interchange is one of the stops on the busy route.

The 6.05, 6.33, and 7.34 services to Manchester Victoria were all cancelled.

Going to Leeds, it was the 6.30, 6.56, 7.21, and 7.57 all called off.

Train operator Northern say Network Rail engineers are expected on site at 8am.

It is advised that customers use Bradford Foster Square for services to Leeds.

A spokesperson for Northern said: "Services between Manchester Victoria and Leeds are currently being disrupted due to a power failure near Rochdale.

"Network Rail engineers are expected on site at 8am.

"Customers can use Bradford Foster Square for services to Leeds.

"Ticket acceptance is in place with Transpennine Express between Manchester, York and Leeds for Northern ticket holders at no additional cost.

"Ticket acceptance is in place with Manchester Metro between Manchester and Rochdale for Northern ticket holders at no additional cost.

"Ticket restrictions have been lifted during this disruption."
